She writes stories that are grounded in the everyday, often with a female protagonist where characters face the ugliness and beauty of life. The writer perspective is that of a moralist with a wholesome, yet realistic, view depicting characters with G-rated principles trying to navigate an R-rated world. 

 

Susanna's work has a feeling of nostalgia about it, often makes one chuckle, and has been described as evoking "heartwarming heartbreak."

Susanna is an award-winning author with a Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, UK and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
